Stay tuned.

Our Christmas cactus has its own schedule, and rarely blooms at Christmas. It's covered with plump buds, and should be simply glorious by Thanksgiving. Stay tuned and I'll post pictures!
One year it was all abloom for Memorial Day in May.

It's the end of the season for fall mums, but they're still pretty. I snapped this picture when I went out to photograph the sign at the gas station showing that the price of gas is the lowest in about two years. $1.99 per gallon. It was over $3 per gallon all summer, and rose as high as $4 for a short time. I took the picture from across the street and you can't really see the sign very well, so I posted the flower picture instead. :>}

Lovely pictures! The Christmas cactus is beautiful, and imagine having it bloom for so long...that's amazing!
GAs prices have been crazy this summer, they are going down here too. Luckily! Now we just need the food-prices to go down as well...

Diana, I can remember my Grandmother having a Christmas cactus when I was young. It always bloomed on its own schedule too and was very beautiful. I think hers had pink blooms on it. I'll look forward to seeing the blooms on your plant. The mums are beautiful too. :D

I love your pictures. The colours are so beautiful.
Diana can I ask are fall mums, Chrysanthemums flowers.

Petrol is much cheaper here to. I tried to put more in my car because I thought I hadnt paid enough.

Also forgot to mention. Salt pans are just a land that has been overcome with salt and nothing grows on them.

Hi Friends! The Christmas cactus gets bright pink blossoms, and I'll be sure to post a picture when it's in its glory. The blossoms last 3-4 weeks, although they get a bit withered as time goes on. We've had this plant for a long time - maybe 15 years. We've given away several babies it has produced.

Fall mums are chrysanthemums, which I had practically forgotten as everyone around here just calls them mums. :>}

Wishing you all a very happy weekend. I have to work today, but I do get three days off the week of Thanksgiving - yay!

Oh what pretty mums. My cactus is getting its buds too. Our gas is around $1.98 or so now. I hope it lasts a while.
