National mitten shortage

Have you ever tried to buy a pair of mittens for anyone over the age of ten? You can't - at least not in our local stores. Gloves you can find everywhere. Cold cold gloves that keep all the fingers separated, never allowing them to warm each other up. After a couple of false starts I made this pair for Larry. Of course I couldn't wait until Christmas to give them to him. It's cold now! Another little quilt ornament. These are fun!
I hope you all have a great week.

You are very clever to whip up some mittens. You know we never buy gloves or mittens where we live now as our winter is mild.
I am still getting my head around the idea that you walk out your front door right into snow.
Enjoy your start to the week.

The remark about giving them to him now instead of waiting until Christmas made me LOL! I'm not the only one having a hard time waiting!
I keep wanting to give presents early, but so far I have done okay, if I do say so myself :)
I love the wallhanging! Such pretty fabrics...

I agree , why wait until Christmas to present a gift when it's needed now to keep someone warm, that's what it's all about "Caring"...

Those mittens look nice and warm. I'm sure Larry will appreciate having them. It is 26 degrees here right now. BRRR!
