Time for fun!

Remember the lighthouse button?
It's time to update the bulletin board in the waiting room at work. The spring wall hangings will come down so I can replace them with something more summery. I was trying for a sunrise effect here. June is my favorite month! I love the long long hours of daylight. It's getting light before 5:30 a.m., and stays light until nearly 9:30 p.m. It really doesn't get better than this.

I'm very happy to tell you that I finished the six cushion covers. She only brought me one cushion, which is why they look so flat here.

I also finished the six placemats. Only four fit on our table. Whew! Now I have time for fun sewing, and I hope I will remember to say "no" the next time someone presents me with such a time consuming project. This took chunks out of three weekends - way too much of my "free" time.

I hope you have a great week, and I'm sorry the weekend went by so quickly. In fact, I'm sorry June is going by so quickly - somehow we've used up a whole week already. Gotta love June!

It never ceases to amaze me how much you are doing creatively, and still make time to blog about it... I'm beginning to fully understand how much time blogging can involve, and definitely need to learn where some reasonable limits are, because it could easily become an addiction, there are so many excellent things going on out there and fantastic people... one just wants to go on and on, which is not necessarily compatible with jobs and family and other hobbies.

Anyway, a very happy month of June and solstice to you all, from all of us here in France..

Diana you are so productive getting all that done. I hope you are able to say no next time so you can get your own fun sewing done.

Summertime is the best! Your bulletin board wall hangings are very pretty and the chair cushion covers and place mats are wonderful,Diana! I can see why everyone keeps requesting your handiwork, but it is OK to say no if it is something you'd really rather not do. You can just say that you can't because you have already made other plans for your time. They don't need to know what those plans are. You deserve to have time to do the things you want to do.
