I'm stuck!

My brother and sister-in-law gave me a JoAnn Fabrics gift card for Christmas - what fun! I needed some baby quilt pink, so I took my pink card to the store and found such pretty things. But then I couldn't make up my mind. I tried all different things, and then thought maybe too much pink is - well - too much. I've wasted a lot of time this weekend, and didn't really accomplish much. (Except I did bake some really good cookies!)
I made a temporary design wall in the hall, to get a better perspective. Still thinking. Brain hurts.

I'm sorry the weekend is nearly over. I hope you accomplished more than I did.

Diana, I think you are off to a very good start. I like the pink and white together. When I get stuck on something that I am working on, what works best for me is to just put it away for a little while. When you come back to it, you will look at it with fresh eyes and be inspired again. I'm sure you will work it out. You are very creative with your quilting projects, I think.

Diana you dont appear to have wasted too much time to me, I am amazed at how much you always accomplish.

The start looks great and I am sure you will have it made up in no time.

I don't think you are stuck, I think you have the beginning of a lovely quilt there, the pink with the white looks lovely and fresh :-)

I love the pink and white too...and are you planning to add the turqouise? That would be awesome! I saw a sampler made up in pink, turqouise, yellow and green, all very very bright, just like yours! It was such a beautiful quilt :)

I think it looks gorgeous! Is this going to be for you? Or is a present?

Thanks, gals, for your kind words. I am taking your good advice and putting it aside for a few days. It is for my friend Linda's granddaughter, but she isn't due until May, so I have lots of time. A new quilt shop opened up nearby that does not have fabric, but they do have very cool machines. They offer lessons and then you can buy time on a quilting machine. I thought I'd finish both baby quilt tops and then take them there to try quilting on their machine, assuming it isn't too expensive. Doesn't that sound like fun for the new year?
