A gift for the cat.

Larry's mom is really good at choosing just the right presents. Look what she found for our cat - his own condominium! As you can see, he likes it a lot, and spends quite a bit of time there. It's light as a feather, easy to relocate, and stores flat if needed. Nice! She likes Thomas Kincaide artwork, so when I found this fabric, I was excited to make placemats for her. I used cotton batting, and quilted a diamond pattern. I found some coordinating green for napkins.
Now it's time to tidy up the house, write thank you notes, and think about New Year's resolutions. :>}
Wishing you all the best.

Oh the cat is so lucky, what a wonderful surprise for him.

I really like the green fabric and the placemats and napkins would have been received happily I bet.

Every cat I've ever known has loved to climb inside of and hide in boxes and baskets and such, so I bet your cat will love that gift!

The placemats are quite pretty, Diana. You do such a wonderful job of choosing fabrics to fit the likes and personalities of those you sew gifts for. I bet your mother-in-law will love them. :)

Those placemats are gorgeous! I am so impressed with the diamond-quilting you do, I wish I could do that. I just get puckers all over the backing fabric :(
What a cool cat-house! Lol! I bet you won't need to store it for a while, it'll be in use :D

Ladydi, the place mats look wonderful, what a nice gift! I can see the care you took doing the quilting and the side hemming!
That's one lucky Cat, or should I say "spoiled cat"? Ginny
