I started organizing my fabric by color. It seemed like a good idea, except sometimes it's hard to figure out what color something is. Is it blue? Or green? Is it brown?
I finally decided to have a separate container for the fabrics that have a theme, like dogs, frogs, ducks, horses, chickens, etc.
I can't wait to use this stone fabric - I have a plan!
I like these clear boxes so I can see what colors are in them. I have all shades of red and pink in one box.
Brown, yellow, orange, and cream are in another box.
I have a box for blues and one for greens, and one for black, white, and gray, and even a small box for purple and lavender. It was fun to handle all my fabric. The only problem now is finding a place for all those boxes. :0) A very nice problem to have!

Well I'm glad you were able to solve that first one , I could see myself up all night thinking about it.
All of them are pretty and interesting..you have your work cut out for you this winter, enjoy it...Ginny
I can see why you might have trouble deciding what color to categorize some of those under, Diana. That stone fabric is really neat looking! Good for you getting it all neat and organized like that.
I know what you mean about sorting your fabrics - I love the idea of all my colour coded boxes but there are always fabrics that break the rules aren't there?!?
Hi Di, You have nice fabrics, especially the stone fabric is great! I have the very similar problem with all my store boxes: where to put all them! I think I ought to be 1-2 years off from work to sew all fabrics I have now!!! Not to talk about my button collection.. :-)
The clear boxesw are great, and what beautiful prints you have!
I must agree with you, needing place to store fabric is one of the better problems in life ;)
I love organinsing and re organinsing fabric, patterned paper etc, its always a good way to find what you have in your stash.
You finding a place to store them sounds bliss.
Its was just an excuse for you to play with your fabric- now wasn't it?!
