3 months in the making

After only three months I have knitted a pair of socks. My very first socks! This is a really big deal for me. I know, I know, socks are cheap to buy and three months in an incredibly long time to spend knitting one pair of socks. But I'm so excited! I have some new skills - if I can remember them. I learned to turn a heel, and then I had to learn all over again for the second one, since two months had elapsed and I forgot what I did the first time. I just needed an hour and a half of quiet uninterrupted time to concentrate on what I was doing. Stay tuned for my next knitting project. . .

Beautiful! Worth every minute spent. Congrats on your first pair (I say "first" because they're addictive...)!

They are gorgeous! And very long too!!! I always cheat and make mine too short in my rush to get to the heel! Lucy xx

Thank you! Yes, Lisa, I definitely plan to make more. They're such a nice portable project.

Thanks, Daisy, it's nice to know this old gal can learn some new tricks.

Too funny, Lucy! I'm just the opposite, I put off the heel as long as possible. The next ones will probably be knee socks. :>}

Aw, Miss Ginny, you're just saying that. (But I thank you!) I will never in the world be able to out cook or out knit you. Your shawls are the lovliest creations, and your cooking is first class.

Thank you, Suzanne! It's funny to have finished them when it's 90 degrees outside, but I'll enjoy them in January. :>}
