My kind of project

Of all the things I like to make (and I really am going to finish knitting those socks!) making things for dolls is among my favorites. I love these colors.
This is for a benefit auction to help a friend who is fighting a nasty battle with the dreaded C word.
I hope a little child will like it as much as I do!

At first glance I was ready to jump in and rest :o), but alas it was for a doll :o(
It looks so comfy and I like the colors too! I think you need a doll house :o) with many bedrooms to dress.

Thanks, Miss Ginny! A doll house sounds like a delightful hobby. I wonder where I would put it??

Thanks, Suzanne. This is actually a benefit for a friend of Larry's who is also a musician, and was the most diverse and talented singer. Until cancer of the throat took away his voice. We hope his voice and joy in music will return. His friends and family are having an enormous benefit auction where we all donate things to be auctioned to raise much needed $$$ to help defray some of his medical expenses. I think it helps him to know that we're all pulling for him in whatever way we can, even if it's just making a doll quilt.

Diana, it is so sweet and generous of you to make this. It is so cute! I love it! I'm sure any little girl would feel lucky to own it for her doll. I'll say a prayer for Larry's friend who is dealing with cancer. I hope the auction goes well.

Thank you, Daisy. I'm sure Rich (in case you like to put a name with your prayers, as I do) appreciates your prayers and good wishes. I'm glad you like the doll quilt! One of our patients at work made the little wooden bed.

Anne, dolly quilts are the most fun, aren't they? You get to try something without using yards and yards of fabric, or days and days of time. And then you have something cute to show for it!
