October snow

Yesterday morning I had to brush an inch and a half of snow off the car before I could leave for work. At least it's easier than scraping ice! I would have taken a picture, but it was dark, and besides, I didn't have time, I was too busy brushing snow. LOL :>}

I love crunchy fall leaves, but a day when leaves are mixed with snow just doesn't seem right. Soggy leaves aren't much fun - they can't dance and they don't crunch. This is the time of year when I'm ever so thankful I have things I like to do inside. I do like fluffy snow, but yesterday's offering was just wet and cold. Brrr.

Snow, I can only imagine going outside to find snow so close to home.
Even thoughsnow does look so beautiful it is so cold and oh dear I would not cope well with that greeting me early in the morning.

Snow and leaves doen't sound like a great mix at all... It sure is a season where we can appreciate our quilting hobby even more.

I'm wondering, is this a sign of the winter to come? The TV weatherman said we had bits of snow a few days ago but I missed seeing anything. The fickle weather is going to bring us highs in the 60's today.

Oh no! Not snow already! It's too early. I'm not ready for winter to take over yet.
