The solution. . .

is to work on Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. What fun! These are both paper pieced, and were great fun to make. I couldn't decide what colors to use, so I decided browns and tans with just a touch of sunrise pink in some of the blocks. I'm just going to make 20 of the 140 blocks to start with, and make a wall hanging size quilt. I have neither the time nor space for large projects, but I love wall hangings!

That's very pretty, Diana. I like the hint of pink. Very nice! :)

Lovely, creative goodness nurtures the soul.
I was hoping your plane had arrived in Australia :).

Thank you, Daisy! I'm looking forward to making more of the sampler blocks.

You are so right, Suzanne. I feel much better after making something. Someday maybe I really will get to your country, instead of quoting Alexander. (You all remember "Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day", don't you? One of my favorite books! Alexander told everyone he was going to Australia, just knowing that they don't have days like that there.

Thank you, Miss Ginny! It's a good way to make a lot of different blocks, using several different methods.
