Well. . .

It doesn't look exactly like a pig, but it looks pretty cute on my mom's bed. She likes it a lot.
I'm knitting white bunnies now. Using the same instructions, but different sizes of needles and yarn, they come out MUCH different sizes. This is a good object lesson for me on the importance of knitting my gauge. I tend to be a "let's get on with it" knitter, and knitting a gauge square just slows me down.

I heard from Heckety that she was having trouble emailing me. She successfully sent a message on Facebook, so I now have her address. (Thanks, Heckety!) If anyone else is having trouble, that worked quite well. The aprons are finished and three have been mailed. The rest will go out soon.

Sorry the weekend is winding down - I hope you have a good week.

The pig looks so cute and your mum would love have it sitting on her bed.

My mum sounds like she knits just like you. Mum often has similar projects and they turn out different at the end.

Its a darling piggie! And unfortunately I'm with you on the guage thing which is why my knitting tends to be a bit hit and miss size-wise!!Skimpy waistcoats which fit all three girls TOGETHER would indicate I have a problem???

I'm really naughty about things like knitting swatches and often swap needles etc - but as I'm not knitting clothes it doesn't seem to matter much! Lucy x

Aw...I think that little pig is cute as can be!! I bet your mom loves it! You did a great job on it, Diana. I know what you mean about the gauge. I used to have crochet patterns that would say the same thing about checking your gauge, but I hated having to take the time to work a swatch to do that. I wanted to jump in and just do the pattern.

Ladydi, I received my Apron yesterday, but had trouble getting on line until today..I'm very happy with it, it's lovely and I don't want to get it dirty yet :o)...You and Kathleen are so full of energy these days...I'm hoping I'll pick up some speed with better weather..
Thanks again for such a lovely gift...Ginny
