Yesterday morning I had to brush an inch and a half of snow off the car before I could leave for work. At least it's easier than scraping ice! I would have taken a picture, but it was dark, and besides, I didn't have time, I was too busy brushing snow. LOL :>}
I love crunchy fall leaves, but a day when leaves are mixed with snow just doesn't seem right. Soggy leaves aren't much fun - they can't dance and they don't crunch. This is the time of year when I'm ever so thankful I have things I like to do inside. I do like fluffy snow, but yesterday's offering was just wet and cold. Brrr.

A nifty gadget and a political statement
I needed some silver thread for my very first swap project. While I was selecting the thread, look what I found! They sparkle, and you know what? When I washed them, they added sparkles to everything else in the loads. Nice! Except. . . I'm not sure Larry wants sparkles on his plaid flannel shirt. :>}
This is not my swap project, just some more Christmas sewing I finished up.

Easy pie crust and lovely leaves.
Pumpkin pie anyone? Wait until you see how easy this pie crust is! It's graham cracker crust, but instead of crushing the crackers and adding butter, I just lay the crackers in the bottom of a rectangular baking dish. This way the crust is delicious, and has much less fat than the other kind. Nice! The piece of pie above has about 210 calories. Not bad.

Productive Stalling
The sky was so perfectly blue today. Doesn't Mr. Buzzard show up nicely? I love watching him fly. He soars and glides, and doesn't do any of the flapping and squawking that other less majestic birds participate in.
I had an alteration to do for someone. I didn't feel like it, so we went for a walk instead. This picture doesn't do justice to the fall colors coming out on the trees.
Baking for the family seemed much more important than doing alterations.
A tasty pot of potato soup to go with the rolls.
Gotta get those bills paid. I wasn't quite desperate enough to clean the bathroom. After the bills were paid I did the alteration, and you know what? It only took 45 minutes, giving me time to blog. I even have time to clean the bathroom. (I wonder if I will, though? :>})

Home Gym
Some days are just too wet to exercise outside.
So we exercise inside, instead. These exercise balls are the best invention, and to add variety we use the stepper and some weights.

Sometimes we just do step aerobics while watching a movie. It makes the time go fast.
When company comes for dinner we use the folding table here, since our dining room is a bit crowded with sewing supplies.
Larry and David make music here, too. It reminds me of the multi-purpose room in our elementary school. The library was in one corner, and at lunch time the custodians, who were very strong, pulled the tables out of the wall so it looked just like a lunch room. Afterwards they wiped them off and pushed them back into the wall. Presto! It was a gym. During school assemblies and plays it became an auditorium complete with stage. I've often thought what an efficient use of space that was, although a lot of work for the custodians!
