Thank you, Mother Nature!

I am so happy that spring has come!

The hyacynths smell heavenly.
I got up early this morning and started the bread dough, and let it rise all day. We had warm rolls with our dinner!
We'll have some tasty sandwiches and toast this week.
Yesterday we awoke to howling wind, and while we were exercising, the electricity went out. We are such creatures of habit that even though we KNOW the power is out, and carry a flashlight into a room, when we get there we still flip the light switch. Duh. Luckily my "beauty routine" can be done just as well in the dark, since I had to be at work at 7:15 a.m.

I am thankful for the electricity that we take so much for granted. It was funny to hear the birds chirping away just like always. It didn't interrupt their morning that our lights were off. I'm also thankful that I don't count on hot coffee in the morning - I would have been stuck! Instead I had a cold breakfast and packed my lunch by flashlight. By 8:00 a.m. it was back on, and thankfully my workplace had an uninterrupted power supply. We're quite helpless there without our computers.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

I love the smell of hyacinths. Those and lilacs are my two favorite flower fragrances, I think.

Our daffodils are all blooming now too, and the forsythia are just starting to come out. I'm so glad spring has finally arrived.

Your bread looks delicious, Diana. I bet baking that made your kitchen smell wonderful too!

And how about the gal who spins, weaves, knits, crochets, sews, quilts, grows her own vegetables, cans and freezes them herself, and makes fabulous meals every single day! That would be you, Miss Ginny. :0)

I love lilacs, too, Miss Daisy! Aren't forsythia amazing - they grow about 18" per week.

Very happy to hear that Spring is starting to show up for you.
There is no better smell than bread baking.
