Paleantology

In an unusual display of scientific inquiry, the Martin family has pursued the ruins of past life. Instead of the customary procedure of digging down, they chose to dig upward, to the attic, in fact.
The study of dinosaurs has always been a topic of hot debate among the Martins. The skeptic among them (that would be me) feels that it is quite ridiculous to find two or three bone fragments and fit them into an enormous skeleton, bestow skin type and color, assign eating habits and child rearing techniques, and have school children memorize these "facts".

In the same spirit, the above pictured creature was a lover of cheetos - or perhaps carrots - judging by the color of his hands and feet. He ate a lot of dum dum suckers, as evidenced by his tongue. He had access to excellent dental care, as his teeth managed to remain so very white in spite of his poor eating habits.

Cute, isn't he? I made him for David when he was in kindergarten (18 years ago!), and found him in the attic this week.

HA! He is indeed cute! He doesn't look very scary, though. Isn't it funny what we find tucked away that we've forgotten about. :D

Thanks, Ladies! When we sort through the stuff in the attic most of it leaves us wondering why on earth we are saving it. I was glad to find this guy, though - it really brings back memories.

I think he's kind of cute! What a nice memory, save it for the grand kid< that will be soon enough and then it becomes an extra treasure...One of my grands has a duck she named "Feather" it's a treasure to her and her children..

Miss Ginny, you would be amazed at the things I am saving for future grandchildren! Mainly books, but also some wooden toys my dad made, and a few other things.

Wow! It is really great! I once upon a time had to sew a new soft elephant to our middle daughter. Her big sister lost it on purpose in the forest and then told the owner that maybe a fox had eaten it! Guess, what a cry there was after it! I also used to sew and knit so many toys for our children. It is nice to find them and bring all the memories as you told!
