Celebrating Autumn with some sewing.

Hello, Blog Friends! I had a fun day getting ready for the quilt class I am going to on Thursday. One of the items on the class list is a sewing machine in good working order. I spent part the afternoon making sure my back up machine is working well and ready to travel. :>}
I spent the other part of the afternoon making fabric decisions. I wasn't happy with the way this one was coming out, so I set it aside for a while. I'm thinking about orange for the binding, and covering up the brown center square with a lovely cream color. The leaf button shows up better on the cream.
The cat, who normally helps every step of the way of any project going, finally got tired of helping me decide what to use.
He decided to take a nap instead.

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend, and that the week ahead is filled with blessings.

My cats don't try to help - but that's because I don't let them in the room. LOL I agree - the cream shows up the button much better - but perhaps a little smaller square than you show in the picture? And I REALLY like your little wall hanging. I've been tempted to try a log cabin - something I haven't done yet. (There's a LOT I haven't done yet.)

LOL! Isn't that a log cabin quilt in your photo? Perhaps someone else made it? I LOVE the colors - it is beautiful.

Duh!

You see, I keep forgetting that one. The centre of each block is embroidered with a letter - so they all spell "buona notte". But it's not a *real* log cabin. :-)
It's a baby quilt I made for a former boss. I was so afraid it wouldn't be good enough for the baby's crib - and then she went and hung it on the wall. LOL

Thank you.
