Beach Day

We went to the beach to celebrate Labor Day. We took a walk since it was a bit cool to stay in the water very long. I was interested to see this sign showing the Buckeye Trail. We've often walked on a small portion of it in Bedford, but never really saw a map showing exactly where it goes. We live in the upper right corner of Ohio, and my blog friend Daisy lives in the upper left corner. If we both start out on the Buckeye Trail, we can meet in the middle. Are you in, Daisy? I'll bring the snacks!

When we arrived the beach was crowded, but not with people. Look at all the seagulls!

I'm feeling a bit sad that summer is ending. I know, I know, I have a lot to be thankful for, but for right now I'm bummed.

The beach you go to is so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. I am happy to see, that you managed to keep your camera safe ;)

The seagulls are really enjoying their time on the beach.
If I swin across the ocean maybe I can meet up with you and Daisy.

Tine, LOL, yes, I did manage to keep the camera safe! I'm glad you like the beach - they call it the North Coast even though it's a fresh water lake rather than the salty ocean on the East and West coasts.

Suzanne, by all means join us! It should only take about two days for us to reach our meeting place, if we walk all day and don't bother with sleeping. Maybe you could hitch a ride on a dolphin!

Ah, so I wasn't the only one feeling a trifle down about the end of summer... hope you had a great one in any case, and there's always next summer to look forward to...

You're right, Owen, and I'm forever complaining that time goes too fast, so I should be happy about this, right? Summer will be here again before I know it. :>}

Sounds like fun, Diana! You know how much I like to walk! :D Might be a little far though. HA!

I'll have to find out where it starts at my end. If you bring snacks, I'll bring some pop or lemonade to drink. :)

Love the photo with all the seagulls. Very pretty.

Sounds like a plan, Daisy! It looks like just a few inches on the map, but Larry assures me we'd be better off driving. :>}
